This property had undergone a full decorative renovation and update. Pantiles Plumbing & Heating installed a full central heating system at the property as well as a complete family bathroom which had been designed as a collaboration between us and the owners. Please see the photographs below.

The jewel in the crown is definitely the beautiful claw footed cast iron bath which sits in the middle of the bathroom. We painted the underneath in a Farrow and Ball green to make it stand out from the neutral background. Getting the cast iron bath upstairs was extremely difficult and took a lot of imagination on our part! It took several men and a lot of grunting to get it in place but where there’s a will there’s a way.

We decided to mount the wash basin on an old Singer sewing machine stand to add a bit more character to the bathroom as the customers wanted something unique and a little different. We hear it is now the most remarked upon item in the house after the bath!

The huge walk in shower tray and shower head make for a fantastic bathing experience and a Mira Realm shower valve was used to keep with the period feel. The tiles are travertine and frame the shower area perfectly. To compliment the theme we re-conditioned an old cast iron radiator and had it sprayed in another Farrow and Ball neutral.

The paneling finishes off the bathroom nicely and the light colours help to create a wonderful space.

The results though speak for themselves and the owners are very happy with their modern bathroom with an old fashioned feel.
